Which delivery app is best for Dubai restaurants in 2026? Talabat vs Deliveroo vs Noon Food vs Careem

A head-to-head comparison of the four main UAE delivery platforms for restaurants, with commission rates, order volume data, audience profile, and which platform suits which concept.

Which delivery app is best for Dubai restaurants in 2026? Talabat vs Deliveroo vs Noon Food vs Careem

This is the second most common question in Dubai F&B marketing meetings, after pricing. The honest answer is 'all four, properly configured'. But if you have to prioritise, the volumes, commissions, and audience profiles are different enough that one platform usually dominates the economics for any given concept. Here is the breakdown.

Talabat (the market leader)

The largest share in the UAE and the GCC. Highest order volume, broadest audience, most familiar app to the average Dubai resident. Commission runs 15-25% depending on the deal. Strong for mid-market and value concepts, dependable for premium if the hero image is right. Sponsored placement is the single most-used paid delivery tool in Dubai.

Deliveroo (the premium platform)

Smaller order volume but higher average order value. Audience skews higher-income, more Western expat, more willing to pay a delivery premium. Commission around 25-30%. Top Spot sponsored placement is less saturated than Talabat sponsored, so paid ROI can be better for premium concepts. Deliveroo Editions is also where their cloud kitchen operation lives.

Noon Food (the aggressive challenger)

Growing fast with heavy promotional subsidies, so order volume is lower than Talabat but discounted ticket size often matches it. Commission usually around 20-25%. Expect frequent platform-funded promotions that can inflate your order volume artificially (good for cash flow, misleading on brand economics).

Careem Food (the convenience choice)

Smaller food share than Careem's ride-hailing dominance would suggest, but useful for commuter corridors (DIFC, Business Bay, Dubai Marina) where users already have the Careem app open. Commission around 15-25%. Order volume per restaurant is typically lower than the other three, so prioritise listing effort elsewhere unless you have a specific corridor fit.

Which one should you focus on if you can only list on one?

Talabat, every time. Market share and user familiarity outweigh any specific platform advantage. But listing on only one is leaving money on the floor for most concepts. The right question is not 'which one', it is 'which three or four, and in what order of effort'.

The hidden lever: your listing quality

The platform you choose matters less than the quality of your listing on whichever platform you choose. Hero image, menu card copy, bundle structure, badge strategy, and review velocity drive 60-70% of in-app conversion. We regularly see restaurants halve their media spend after a listing audit on their highest-volume platform.
